GD Express Sdn Bhd has been honored with 2013 Frost & Sullivan Malaysia Excellence Awards – Domestic Express Service Provider of the Year for the Private Sector

GD Express Sdn Bhd has been honored with 2013 Frost & Sullivan Malaysia Excellence Awards – Domestic Express Service Provider of the Year for the Private Sector.

The award was conferred to GDEX in recognition and honor for outstanding industry achievements.

This award was based on an evaluation study carried out by Frost & Sullivan to recognize companies and individuals that have pushed the boundaries of excellence – rising above the competition and demonstrating outstanding performance in the Malaysian market.

GD Express Sdn Bhd (GDSB) obtained ISO 14001:2004 certification in 2012

GDSB obtained ISO 9001:2000 certification in 2003 and upgraded its Quality Management System to ISO 9001:2008 in 2009.

In 2012, GDSB obtained ISO 14001:2004 certification for Environmental Management System (EMS). The achievement marks a milestone in GDSB's ongoing commitment to protect and conserve the environment.

Both systems were integrated as Quality and Environmental Management System to facilitate operations procedures complying with two international standards.

GD Express Sdn Bhd Has Obtained ISO 9001:2000 Certification on 8 Nov 2003

GD Express Sdn Bhd has obtained ISO 9001:2000 certification on 8 Nov 2003 from Moody International Certification (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd. GD Express is proud to be the first domestic express carrier company in Malaysia to achieve ISO status and this is a testimony to the quality processes that the Company has put in place over the last few years. Over the past few years, our Customers and the market have higher expectations in terms of both quality and performance of the express delivery services that they require to meet their needs. In fact, we note that some of our more discerning customers have already put in specifications on the quality and performance of express delivery services that they expect to receive from their express delivery service provider. This is in line with global trends of higher quality and performance requirements for express delivery services. In response to this trend, GD Express has already embarked on the road to Total Quality Management a few years ago. New work and quality processes have been put in place to improve both quality of service and performance standards of the express delivery service offerings of the Company. In addition, both Management and Staff are fully committed to the concept of Total Quality Management and have adopted a culture of seeking continuous improvement in every aspect of our operations.

This ISO Certification attests to our initial efforts along the long journey to Total Quality Management but it is only the first milestone. Whilst we are happy to have achieved this ISO certification, we believe that more can and will be done. We have already planned for more quality processes that would be introduced into various aspects of our operations and we hope to achieve even higher standards in quality and performance to keep our customers satisfied. We could not have achieved this without the support and encouragement of our Customers, Supporters and Business Partners. In 2009, GD Express Sdn Bhd successfully implemented ISO 9001:2008 Quality Management Systems Transition.

GD Express Won The 2nd Asia Pacific International/Malaysia Honesty Enterprise - Keris Award 2003

GD Express has won The 2nd Asia Pacific International / Malaysia Honesty Enterprise - Keris Award 2003. In a letter dated 24 Nov 2003, Mr. Denver Tan, Chairman of the organizing committee, wrote to our Managing Director to inform him of this. In Mr. Tan's letter, he explained the background of the award:

"To provide potential entrepreneurs the extra edge of competitiveness, we believe that good industry credibility is apparently important. It embodies the industry's business operations, reputation as well as public image and perception. It is also an indicator for entrepreneurs when choosing business partners, and for consumers when selecting business transactions. We are looking forward to the development of a Credible Business Community, which will definitely benefit credible entrepreneurs. To start with, together with Entrepreneurs Development Association, Yantai Investment Development Board, Penglai Municipal Government of Shandong of P.R.China and "Shanghai" Business Magazine (Star Publication Group) proudly organized The 2nd Asia Pacific International / Malaysia Honesty Enterprises - Keris Award 2003. We are supported by the Ministry of Entrepreneur Development Malaysia, The Ministry of Domestic Trade and Consumer Affairs Malaysia, SMI Association of Malaysia, Branding Association of Malaysia, Yantai Commercial chamber, Yantai Industry and Commerce Federal Union and Penglai Youth Entrepreneur Association. All award winning enterprises have proven performance in their respective industries including the development of innovative marketing strategies, good business practices and planning, and have taken the lead in electronic industrialization too. The judges of the organizing committee unanimously decided on awarding GD Express Sdn Bhd as the winner of The 2nd Asia Pacific International / Malaysia Honesty Enterprise - Keris Award 2003 - Asia Pacific Category."

The award was presented at a ceremony on 14 Dec 2003 at The International Conference Hall of First World Hotal, Genting Highland.

GD Express Won SMI DiGi ICT Adoption Award 2003

GD Express won the SMI DiGi ICT Adoption Award at the SMI Recognition Award 2003 ceremony held in Sunway Convention Hall, 3rd October 2003. This award is bestowed on non-listed SMIs heeding the government's call to adopt ICT in their operations. Those companies nominated had responded well to ICT and are now using ICT to benefit their companies, both operationally and financially.

GD Express's IT system comprised several modules designed to fully support the daily operations and work processes. Customer Service and Traffic Control system helps to record and manage customer calls for pick up and also to facilitate smooth pick up for our loyal customers.

Operation Management system, Customer Relation Management system, and Consignment Note Administration system help to keep track and manage our customers' accounts and databases, to help us to understand more about our customers' needs and to provide customised services to maximise customer satisfaction.

The online Problem Shipment system in our GD IT system allows the Headquarters to monitor all the daily problem shipments throughout the whole GD network in Malaysia.

Proof of Delivery system records the consignments details of shipments that had been delivered. These data will be used for our reference and also to handle customers' enquiries.

Our customers are free to visit our website to track their shipments through our online E-Tracking system.

We fully realize the rising expectations of our customers for good services, and we are constantly moving on to improve and give our extra effort to keep our customers' satisfied.
